Lilikoi Candied Bacon With Mac Nuts

Ingredients
- ¼ Cup Water
- ¼ Cup Sugar
- ¼ Cup Lilikoi Puree
- 1 Pound of Bacon
- ½ Cup Macadamia Nuts
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers be sure to soak them in water before using)

- Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees
- In a small saucepan mix water, sugar and lilikoi puree.
- Bring to a boil and cook down for 5 minutes.
- While that is boiling put bacon slices on skewers.
- Brush liquid mixture onto the bacon.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and put a cooling rack on top of it.
- Put bacon skewers on the cooling rack and bake at 375 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
- While bacon is in the oven put the macadamia nuts in a zip lock bag.
- Use a rolling pin to crush the mac nuts.
- Pull bacon out of oven and brush with the liquid mixture again.
- Flip bacon and brush bottom side with liquid mixture.
- Sprinkle macadamia nuts on top of bacon.
- Put bacon back in the oven and bake for another 5-8 minutes until you get your desired level of crispiness.
